Michael Maupin (@completelydark) owns a digital publishing startup, StoryShed Media LLC, and blogs from Saint Paul, Minnesota.

A recovering screenwriter, he started Completely in the Dark in 2001 to blog about narrative in filmmaking. In 2008 his parents passed away, and he switched focus to family stories and trying to make sense of life while still being “completely in the dark.”

He’s glad you enjoy reading the blog and will now stop writing in third person.
